Copyright Policy
General Statement
Our copyright policy is simple, if we designed it, photographed it, wrote it, its copyrighted. We submit our entire body of work to the U.S. Copyright office, and all our work is on file. Exceptions are granted in writing only. Note: if you copy, borrow, or otherwise use any of our content (code, site designs, photography, logos, graphics, text copy, documents, etc) without our consent IN WRITING, you are violating our copyright policy and U.S. Copyright law.
Copyright and Permission to Use our Photography
At Sixgun Photo we err on the generous side with our clients. If you purchased the work from us, we'll allow you to use it for whatever you require as long it is for your own personal / business use. Reselling or distributing is prohibited. We are also very generous in the use of our images in news media and magazines all we ask for is photo credit. If you want to use one of our images just ask !
Unauthorized use is prohibited, that includes "borrowing" images off our site(s) and posting them on facebook, or other social media sites. Exception - you may forward or post any photo of ours as long as the "SIXGUN" watermark is left intact.
Digital Negatives / Originals: We get asked all the time by clients if they can have the originals. The short answer is no. Unless specifically requested and paid for, all originals (Digital Negatives) remain property of Sixgun Photo. Under no circumstances will we forfeit ownership rights.
